Accommodation in Yalta – The pearl of Crimea

Looking for an apartment in Yalta? You’ve come to the right place!

Yalta is on the south coast of Crimea, and it is the biggest out and out resort in Crimea. It has a population of about 100,000, and is located one and a half hours drive from Simferopol.

Yalta was the primary holiday destination for the whole of the Soviet Union. More upmarket than its other coastal cousins, it contains Crimea’s premier hotels and restaurants. A huge open-air museum, Yalta contains numerous architectural monuments and buildings. Yalta has a special place in the hearts of Russians and Ukrainians, and whether walking its colourful streets of inimitable character, sipping a beer on the palm tree lined boardwalk and watching the world pass by, or dancing the night away in one of the many nightclubs, you are sure to feel for yourself that spark; that magic that makes Yalta a unique and immortal place.

Yalta is surrounded by a ring of mountains that cut it off geographically from the rest of the South Black sea coast. Yalta’s beach is small and in July and August is packed full of tourists. You won’t want to be just sitting on the beach here though; there’s so much to see and do. One of the most interesting trips is to the nearby Livadia palace, where you can see where Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin met to re-draw the map of Europe at the end of the Second World War.

There is an abundance of accommodation in Yalta. The town contains countless hotels, pensions and apartments. However in summer hordes of Russians flock to the area and accommodation in Yalta can be hard to come by. Typically local tourists rent an apartment in Yalta, as it gives better value for money.
