The Best of Bakhchisaray – 6 Hour Crimea Tour
Tour Itinerary:
Morning pick up from your hotel or apartment in Sevastopol or Simferopol (9-10am).
Your tour to Bakhchisaray starts with a short 45 minute drive to the town Bakhchisaray. Once there, you are taken straight to the intriguing Khansky palace. Built in the 1500-1600’s, the mighty Crimean khans once ruled from this palace.
Then we move onto the nearby Uspensky Monastry. The monastery is built in caves in the walls of a spectacular valley.
Stop for lunch at a nearby spot and enjoy some of the finest traditional Tatar food.
Then we take the half hour hike (the last ten minutes is moderately steep) to Chufut Kale. This is the highlight for many visitors to Bakhchisaray, and consists of a long plateau which contains a honeycomb of caves and structures where people took refuge for centuries.
30 minute hike back to civilisation and then a 45 minute drive back to Simferopol/Sevastopol and drop off at your hotel or apartment.
