Car Tour

One-day car tour in Crimea, Ukraine.

No one else in Crimea offers a tour quite like this. As well as taking in some of Crimea's most traditional sites, it also gives you a unique opportunity to explore the Crimea that is well off the main tourist path. You will visit parts of Crimea that very few foreigners usually get the chance to see.

The tour lasts approximately 8 hours and begins in Simferopol. The tour itinerary is as follows:

1) Pick up in Simferopol at your hotel/flat in a private vehicle.

2) We visit a typical Communist era suburb on the edge of town. This place was the scene of mass executions during the Second World War and you can see an extremely unusual and interesting monument to this event.

3) We visit the exotic home of the Crimean Tartars and one of the most interesting parts of Crimea - Bakhchisarai. We visit the ancient Khans palace and a famous 8th century monastery carved into the rock face of a cliff.

4) Next we drive through the beautiful Crimean countryside over up to a pass from which which descend down the spectacular road towards the Black sea. From there we carry onto along the beautiful coast road to Yalta, where we go off the 'beaten path' and visit some interesting sights that most people don't get the chance to visit.

5) Then we continue on to Alupka. At this point we have the option of visiting the palace in Alupka. The Alupka palace is the most spectacular of the Crimean Black sea palaces, breathtakingly located at the foot of the Crimean mountains. A second option is to drive up to the top of the coastal range of the Crimean mountains, from where there are afforded sensational views over Yalta, Alupka and the Black sea.

6) Drop off at your flat/hotel in Yalta/Alupka or Simferopol.

Alternatively, if there is a particular part of Crimea that you wish to see, or you would like such a tour to have a certain emphasis, we can arrange a one day car tour with a different itinerary to suit you needs.
